My research focusses on the foundations of mathematics. I investigate different systems (both philosophical and mathematical) for representing our mathematical reasoning and results, and compare and contrast their features. In particular, I’m interested in issues surrounding pluralism: The idea that there might be more than one legitimate point of view to take on mathematical reality.

You can read a fuller description (written in an accessible style) of the areas of my research here. You can also find a research proposal for the initial fragment of my research here.
